Sustainability

At Allora ethical and sustainable garment production are both factors we strive for daily.

We are proud to uphold the following practices and are always looking at ways we can improve and grow to be a more sustainable brand.

ETHICAL & LOCAL MAKERS

We believe in utilising local skills and talents available to us and we only work with makers who ensure their workers rights are protected.

Allora is made in Melbourne by a highly regarded garment manufacturer who has been making garments for some of Australia’s top designer labels for over 35 years.

By purchasing from the Allora collection you are not only buying a well made piece for your wardrobe, you are also supporting the Australian fashion industry and local manufacturing.

MINIMISING WASTE

All our production runs are small and considered, meaning we have less excess stock at the end of our seasons.
Rather than over producing garments we recut styles in response to the demand.

We use computer graded markers to lay our pattern pieces onto fabric to ensure as little waste as possible.
Any leftover scrap material is recycled or donated to fashion students.

We only use premium quality fabrics to ensure longevity in every piece.
The merino wool we use in our knitwear is proudly 100% Australian sustainable and ethical.
It is fully traceable from farm through to maker.

PACKAGING

All our swing tags are printed locally in Melbourne on recycled paper and are attached with natural cotton thread.
We ship all orders in biodegradable satchels or recycled cardboard boxes.
